Siskin by Mamaowl

Danish mum Anna spotted a gap in the market when she had her first baby. She was looking for clothing in organic merino wool/silk and merino fleece to keep her new baby warm and comfortable, when she discovered that her favourite brands from Denmark was not available in the UK.

This led her to set up Mamaowl with the first order ticking in in 2012.

The shop has since then gone from strength to strength and is today known for being the number one destination for wool. We are excited to share that this month sees a whole new chapter in the Mamaowl story…

The Siskin collection by Mamaowl

Beyond doubt, Anna is super driven, talented and creative. There is no surprise that she is now ready to take the next step in her business venture, with the launch of her own brand, Siskin. The experienced shop owner, who is passionate about a ‘free range kids’ childhood and who is a advocate for natural materials such as wool and organic cotton – will be just the one to know what customers are looking for. Through years of building a loyal following she knows what her customers want.

As a result, the Siskin clothing are made sustainably using natural fabrics, created to last and feel wonderful to wear while playing and exploring. The colours are earthy, to give a sense of comfort and warmth, perfect for young children. But perhaps more importantly, the collection will not follow the high street seasons or trends.

I’ve created the Siskin range to be timeless, to be unisex and to be long lasting.

The pieces are also trans-seasonal in that they work for winter, summer and everything in-between, worn alone or layered for the colder months.
