Scandinavian Advent Calendars 2020

Perhaps more than ever, our little ones deserve a merry countdown to Christmas. The nostalgic Scandinavian Advent Calendars are reusable, so a start of a treasured tradition. For years to come it can create happy mornings during the darkest month of the year. Then when the children are all grown up, it’s ready to be handed down to future generations.

Here are our favourite Scandinavian advent calendars for 2020!

Ferm Living Star Advent Calendar

Ferm Living has the classic star advent calendar, with a daily countdown to Christmas. In addition there are a stylish narrow version, perfect for a smaller space. Both designs are available in sand or dark green.

There’s also the advent calendar with a small gift on all the four Sundays of Advent. This canvas house has golden embroideries and four pockets for the treats, available in rose, off-white and dark green – fermliving.com

DIY Advent Calendars

There are so many beautiful DIY advent calendars you can make yourself. If you start now you’ll have plenty of time. We have in the past shared quite a lot of ideas and inspiration, from the super popular reindeer advent calendar to the above Christmas Tree Advent Calendar, that we made with fabric bought from Ikea – see the tutorial here. There’s even more ideas here!

Remember you might also need to source up to 24 little surprises for some of these calendars – and it should all be ready by 1st of December. My advice (from experience) is not to leave it until the last minute.
