Christmas in Scandinavia is an incredible experience, sharing some time off with family and friends with lots of fun in the snow and indoor hygge. It all starts with the Christmas market end of November before the Advent time and the magical Lucia celebration on the 13th of December.
Whether you’re visiting Scandinavia this coming holiday, it is also possible to enjoy some of the traditions and authentic Scandi Christmas spirit in London.
Swedish Christmas Market 20th and 21st of November 2021
Come and enjoy the traditional atmosphere with Swedish food and handcrafts. There will be gingerbread, delicatessen, glass ware, home made glögg, Swedish food, traditional candles, Christmas cards and much more.
This year has an outdoor fair on Harcourt Street and indoors in the Swedish Church hall. The indoor part of the market is a ticketed event. Book your ticket here and see you at the Swedish church Christmas Fair 2021!
Danish Julebasar 26th to the 28th November
Danish YWCA hosts the traditional Danish Christmas Bazaar from the 26th to the 28th of November 2021 in Hampstead. From food and decorations to gifts and just general Danish jule-hygge, the bazaar is a must experiencer a true Danish Christmas feel.

Sankta Lucia in London, 7th until the 14th of December
In the darkest time of the year, Lucia brings us a message of light and hope. The Swedish Carol Service with the Ulrika Eleonora Church Choir in a candlelit church or cathedral will bring the spirit of advent and Christmas.
Tickets to be released October 25th on Eventbrite.

After the service in Ulrika Eleonora, on your way out there will be a take away version of Lucia fika. This will include coffee/tea/squash and a saffron bun which is included in the price.
