Sweater Weather Forever!

This season is all about chunky oversized knits. What’s new is the deconstructed knitwear trend as well as jumpers upon jumpers. More is more this season, also when it comes to your knitted wardrobe favourites.

Another big trend is sustainability. Look for well made quality pieces, preferably ethically produced and always in pure wool. If you buy quality it will last so much longer and you can help reduce textile waste.

Combined with another trend, beige, beige and more beige, we herby give you a line up of options, for all budgets – so you can be ready for Sweater Weather.

Swedish design: Frayed cable knit sweater is loosely knitted in cable-knit pattern and finished with frayed trims. Wool blend including mohair and alpaca. Acne Studios £310.

Danish design: Knitted from a wool and alpaca blended yarn in light pink this jumper has chunky ribbed stitches in contrast to the delicate lace pattern. Ribbed collar, cuffs and hems. Samsoe & Samsoe £190.

Made by you: Download free knitting pattern by Camilla Pihl by House of Yarn, to help you transform your yarn stash into this cosy winter warmer. The above is knitted in a luxurious yarn of 100% brushed alpaca. Camilla Phil knitting pattern FREE.

High Street with premium quality: Light beige jumper knitted in soft 100% cashmere with a round neck, long raglan sleeves and ribbing around the neckline, cuffs and hem. H&M £99.

Second hand: Vintage C&A 100% pure wool jumper featuring cable knit in a chunky cream colour. In good pre owned condition but still plenty of wear left. Ebay £24.

I know which one I’d choose, if only knew how to knit! My other favourite is the dream of a jumper by Acne in a delightful frayed cable knit.

Which cosy knit is your favourite this season?
