MarMar Copenhagen Children’s Fashion for SS17 ‘Grand-Scale Daydreams’

MarMar Copenhagen for SS17 is called ‘Grand-Scale Daydreams’ which I think is a beautiful theme for a children’s collection. I used to love daydreaming and now my children have too come to enjoy the wonderful world of daydreams. To design a collection around imagination, we think, is simply brilliant!

But before I show you a sneak peek of the new collection, I wanted to talk a bit more about the power of daydreaming and tap into the whole concept of the “wandering mind”. There are plenty of research supporting the connection between daydreaming and creativity. So, below, alongside the collection I’ve included my favourite eight quotes, for ‘Grand-Scale Daydreams’

“Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up” – Pablo Picasso

“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination” – Albert Einstein

“Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people” – Leo Burnett

“This world is but a canvas to our imagination” – Henry David Thoreau

“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will” – George Bernard Shaw

“Creativity is contagious, pass it on” – Albert Einstein

“Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try” – Dr. Seuss

“You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not’?” – George Bernard Shaw

I hope you like these quotes – and the collection a such as I do.

So, in case you havne’t heard about the brand; MarMar Copenhagen has since 2008 delivered consistently high quality, classic children’s fashion with cool and quirky details. The price point is mid range making this epitome of danish children’s fashion design ready to wear and accessible.

Transeasonal pieces from the current collection will blend in with SS17 as season changes and the weather warmes up. The style is playful, to nurture creativity and imagination. Looks like we have a Summer of daydreaming ahead!
