Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen is ready for Halloween; all dressed up in warm Autumn colours and elaborately decorated with 20.000 pumpkins as well as bales of straw, spiders, scarecrows and lots of magical creatures. Throughout the Halloween season it will be events on. The Tivoli will greet its guests with a plethora of music, lights, water, smoke, fire and lasers displayed across the Tivoli Lake. Wander through a spooky scenery with harrowing screams from the roller coaster rides in the background…
There’s a monsters-parade too, with people in Halloween costumes walking through the streets of Copenhagen, before they end their parade in Tivoli. If you go on the evening of the Monter-parade you might end up sitting next to a zombie, a ghost or a vampire on one of the rides.
A ‘Denmark’s biggest giant-pumpkin 2016’ competition will also take place in Tivoli. All entries and the winner will be on display near to NIMB. And don’t miss the Halloween market stalls, where you can purchase monster-sweets, pumpkin-faces and other spectacular gadgets. Stay warm with a witch-punch or spoil the family with sugar roasted almonds, Danish ‘flødeboller’ or old fashioned sweets.
