Autumn style for women; best busy of the season when it comes to soft knitwear and cozy oversized jumpers to snuggle up in. All you need to add is a fireplace, hot chocolate in a mug and loved ones to surround yourself with to create the perfect Autumn bliss. Or as we say in Scandinavia; Hygge.
This post was per request; someone who I’m connected with on Twitter asked for advice. So here goes, my favourite wool jumpers for the Autumn season.
Fino Ruffle Jumper by Designer Remix
Women’s soft grey mohair wool jumper with ruffles. Why we like: This season is all about knitwear and ruffles!
Oversized Braised Merino Wool Knit from & Other Stories
A fluffy and soft knit with a beautiful braided design, loose fit and oversized sleeves. Ribbed edges and hemline. The mohair/wool mix is just unbelievable soft to touch. Why we like: Cozy design and value for money.
Riga Alpaca Sweater by Gudrun & Gudrun
Soft dots and honeycomb makes this jumper and utter delight for everyday use. Knitted in a alpaca wool. Why we like: The dots and the deep teal colour. We would get it in a size up so it becomes a proper statement piece.
Alicia Sweater by Wood Wood
Boxy monochrome shetland wool sweater a wide rib at neck, cuffs and bottom hem. This is not the softest of wool, but I’m sure it will be warm! Wear with a crisp white shirt underneath. Why we like: The jumper has a certain preppiness to it and the melange colour is gorgeous!
Albio contemporary wool jumper by Samsøe & Samsøe
Fine knit in wool, featuring zips in both sides, for a loose fit. Perfect for layering. Comes in both white and black. Why we like: The clean cut and minimalistic look.
Lianna lambwool jumper in antracite melange by Wonhundred
Lianna is a oversize knit in lambswool with structure and heavy ribs. Complete the look with skinny jeans and boots. Why we like: The oversized fit and the chunky knit.
Contemporary poncho by Aiayu
Luxurious poncho in extra soft, boiled llama wool with stripe detail at the bottom. Oversized fit with inside tape edgeing. Why we like: Environmentally friendly and timeless design.
I’ve discovered that nice design on its own is not enough. Such a shame buying a beautiful jumper only to see it pull and fall apart, even before the colder season is over. Hence are some of the above examples a bit pricy as they have quality that will last. The one from & Other stories has such nice design and it actually is even nicer in real life. It’s also super nice to touch. But again, not sure how long you will be able to keep it for…
And please note; none of these jumpers have been chosen for the stylishness of the photos. All sweaters featured here are garments I’ve seen and touched. They are all beautiful in one way or the other.
I love oversized, chunky, cozy jumpers in wool. This is probably why I have too many of them as it is. Browsing through the shops I’m always finding it really hard not to buy another one…
