The Scandinavian fashion label Norse Project launches its third womenswear collection. Typical Scandi style, less is more. But there’s more to Norse than what first meets the eye… Not only is the main line so chic; street wear cool combined with timeless silhouettes in premium quality. But it’s also all the ‘Projects’…
Since its arrival in 2004, Danish label Norse Projects has focused its attention on the menswear market, marking its territory within the strong Scandinavian line-up of brands focusing on simplicity. The brand has established itself as a cult brand and can be found in trend shops worldwide.
But as no man is an island the brand has embarked on a number of high profile collaborations, which Norse cleverly calls ‘Projects’. This includes a range of apparel, accessories and footwear. Earlier in 2016 Norse launched a collaboration with Dr. Martens, a signifier of sorts of its industry standing.
Describing itself on socials as ‘a development focused company and design studio, working within the boundaries of art, design and functionality’, the latest addition to its offering is a womenswear collection for AW16.
With the inspiration from the island of Bornholm, coastal nature and the Baltic weather has been referenced across the collection in texture, palette and silhouette.
The brand’s bio on Instagram promises ‘Created for life. Good for all seasons.’ So in other words, expect everyday minimalism and highly functional and trans-seasonal pieces for your wardrobe update.
