Within the end of October many of London’s ice rinks will open. The capital’s outdoor ice rinks are the perfect pre-Christmas activity for a night out or during the holidays. Here are London’s Best Ice Rinks for Winter 2015/2016, with the earliest opening already this October.

Our favourite, perhaps London’s most enchanting ice rink, Natural History Museum has this year partnered with Swarovski, to add a special sparkle to its Christmas ice rink. Swarovski will decorate the famous 40ft Christmas tree, situated in the centre of the ice rink, with thousands of its crystal ornaments and signature blue boxes. The 600sqm ice rink sits next to the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium connected by EE and adjacent to London Designer Outlet. you’ll find a weekend food market alongside a vintage family fairground rides as well as aprés skate treats at the Alpine Café. The grand 18th-century courtyard at Somerset House is probably the most stunning ice rink this winter. Rinkside you’ll find Fortnum’s Lodge, the perfect place to enjoy aprés-skate with friends, family or your loved one. Somerset is popular – pre booking is recommended. Tickets from £7.50.
