A proper Nordic Yulefest starts with visiting one or all the three Scandinavian Christmas Markets in London. Join in on the Nordic festive spirit; have some glögg and gingerbread men, shop Scandinavian Christmas decoration and food, meet up with fellow Scandinavians and start the count down to Christmas!

These Christmas markets are the real deal; No Frozen characters or German speaking moose. No party hats or crackers… Only lots of beautiful Nordic Christmas decoration and traditional designer crafts, perfect for your own home or as Christmas gifts. There’s live music and lots of Scandinavian festive spirit -and hard to source Danish, Norwegian and Swedish Christmas delicacies. A family event you shouldn’t miss!

Finnish Christmas Fair 19th – 23rd November Finnish Church London
The church is filled with Finnish food and gifts: Rye bread, chocolate, sweets, Moomin products and much, much more. Scandinavians are born festive, so this Finnish market is sure to provide the most Christmassy of outings. In fact, this Christmas fair in 33 Albion St is so popular that you should be prepared to stand in line for some time before you get in and can join in on the Finnish Christmas Yulefest. But it’s so worth it!

Swedish Christmas Fair 20 – 23. November; Svenska Julmarknad 2014 London
The Swedish Ambassador Nicola Clase will open the Christmas Fair in the Swedish Church in Marylebone at 11am on Thursday 20 Nov.
“Försäljning av glas, present, papper, julbröd, pepparkakor, matvaror, hemgravad lax, textil, knäckebröd, ljus, ljusstakar, leksaker och mycket mer.” Entry £2.
Opening hours: Thursday 20th Nov 11am to 8pm, Friday 21st Nov closed, Saturday 22 Nov 11am to 8pm and Sunday 23rd Nov 12pm to 5pm. More info here, finnishchurch.org.uk

Norwegian Christmas Market 21 – 23.November; Norsk Julebasar, Sjømannskirken London
The Norwegian Seaman’s Church, 1. St. Olav’s Square, London SE16 7JB.

Danish Christmas Market 29 – 30.November; Dansk Julemarked, KFUK London
