London based Scandinavian children’s store, KIDSEN, has announced it will be launching a range of clothes and shoes for tweens this autumn. With two girls, age 9 and soon-to-be 13 years this is music to my ears! And knowing Corina, the driving force and founder of Kidsen, we are in for a treat!

The few lovely children’s boutiques there are in the UK usually only stock children’s clothing up to size 8 years, which makes a proper gap in the market, for children size 10 and up. Children wearing size 10 to 16 are often left with shops and departments where the clothing might have a too grown up feel to them.

Kidsen, which has a store in Kensal Rise London as well as online, will be stocking select items from or favourite brands such as Little Remix, Finger in the nose and LA Loi in sizes up to age 16. They will also be expanding the selection of shoes and boots for growing kids, with brands such as Hummel, Manuela and Bisgaard in styles up to size 40.

“I am delighted to be extending my offering to the tween market. My original KIDSEN customer has grown up but their parents still what a destination shop where they can find cool Scandinavian brands which their tweens love as much as they do. I have spent time putting together a wearable collection with an edgy feel which will appeal to tweens with a sense of style. It includes items not only from existing brands I stock but new ones too.” Corina Papadopoulou, KIDSEN founder
