First mentioned here on the blog in 2011, the Icelandic brand Iglo Kids Clothing was founded by the talented designer Helga Olafsdóttir and her friend Lovisa Olafsdottir back in 2008.
The founder and head designer, Helga, had studied fashion in Copenhagen, London and Milan, before working on the very first clothing line for the Danish fashion brand Ilse Jacobsen. She also worked as a designer for All Saints in London, before embarking on her own venture.
The new children’s fashion brand quickly gained international recognition for its individual and playful style, exhibiting at leading trade shows such as Ciff in Copenhagen.
With the launch of the collection for Spring Summer 2014 the brand announced a chance in name, from Iglo Kids to Iglo+Indi as well as extending the size range up to older children. Outerwear in high quality was also added to the collection.
Iglo+indi won both children and adults hearts with crisp colours, unique hand drawn prints and playfulness. Above all comfortable cuts and soft organic fabrics make iglo+indi a preferred creative and fun brand for all.
It’s with sadness I share that this sweet brand from Iceland seem to have closed down. If you have any other information, please share below.
