The Scandinavian Christmas Markets in London is what you can’t miss as the capital is preparing for the festive season. And to make it easy to remember, they are all taking place during the last weekend in November.
The various of Scandinavian Christmas Markets take place across London, from leafy Hampstead in North West London to Bermondsey in South East. These traditional charming fairs are sure to bring the whole family into a festive spirit, just in time for Christmas.
The weekend you need to set aside is fast approaching; the last weekend of November. And it all starts with the Finnish Church opening its doors the 21st of November…
FINNISH CHIRISTMAS FAIR – JOULUMESSUT LONDON
Bermondsey, 21st to the 25th of November 2018.
Held in a church which is possibly the only church in the UK with a sauna. During the fairs Finnish Church provides live music, Finnish treats and gifts including Finnish food like rye bread, cloudberry jam, freshly roasted Christmas coffee and so on. There will be Finnish sweets such as Fazer chocolate and salt liquorice. Also on offer is Nordic design, from Moomin, Iittala, Arabaia and Pentik as well as stunningly beautiful reindeer hides. You don’t closer to Lapland outside the Nordics…

NORWEGIAN CHRISTMAS FAIR – NORSK JULEBASAR SJØMANNSKIRKEN LONDON
Bermondsey, 23rd to the 25th of November 2018
Get together with the Norwegian community to enjoy some mulled wine and Christmas treats. There will be plenty of Norwegian waffles, open style sandwiches and much more. On sale is a fantastic range of Norwegian design which will make excellent gifts. It’s also the place to stock up on Norwegian specialities such as the Freia milk chocolate. Expect lots of Christmas ‘hygge’ and you might even get to dance around the Christmas tree!

SWEDISH CHRISTMAS FAIR – JULMARKNAD I LONDON
Marylebone, 22nd, 24th to the 25th of November 2018
Undoubtedly the best mulled wine served in a authentic Christmas Market with live music and plenty of Christmas cheer. A great selection in Scandinavian Christmas cookies, cards, gifts and decoration.

DANISH CHRISTMAS BAZAAR – DANSK JULEMARKED I LONDON
Hampstead, 24th to the 25th of November 2017
Delightful Scandinavian Christmas Fair in Hampstead selling a combination of traditional and timeless Danish Christmas decorations as well as Christmas wreaths. There’s plenty of festive food and a raffle. There’s a Danish hot dog kiosk outside the fair. I have no idea how that relates to Christmas – but it’s well worth a visit!

Hello are there any Christmas Markets events in December? I’m gutted I missed the events in November.
Last year, I went to all four fairs to buy a hotdog and to buy a string of each nations flags for the Xmas tree.
Here are the results: Norwegian £1 per string of paper (Pobra.com) flags, Swedish £2 per string of paper(Pobra.com) flags, Danish £3.50 per string of tiny cloth (Pobra.com) flags and Finnish £5 per string of large cloth ((Weistre.fi) flags. Does that say something about the implied self worth of each country?
You really do not want to know the results from the hotdogs.
Finally, why is there no Icelandic fair? Maybe they would get it mixed up with Iceland, the supermarkets?
