Our favourite pieces for Autumn by Soft Gallery

Soft Gallery launches ‘the artisan’ collection for AW17. We’ve had a look and here are our favourite pieces.

Dream, risk, create. We are artisans. This is what we do. ‘The Artisan’ collection emphasizes the faithful and heartfelt essence behind the Soft Gallery universe, the sensitivity of an artist and creative inputs from modern life and the world that surrounds us.

This is how Soft Gallery introduces their latest collection. And I guess they are right about being artisans, with the brands concept; for each season they collaborate with various of artist, bringing the artist work to life through prints and embroidery.

But fancy press realises aside… what do we really think about the new Soft Gallery collection for Autumn Winter 2017? We first saw this collection in Copenhagen at CIFF kids last winter. And having a good look through it again now, whilst the pieces are about to arrive in store, we’ve chosen our favourites. Let’s have a look!

This feminine girls blouse in lightweight viscose in a jet black colour, featuring a victorian inspired mock neck, frills on shoulders, gathered hem on sleeves and a dreamy ‘starry night’ gold print. It’s all in the details!

This Cali Vulcan Winter coat is probably my favourite piece from the collection. The pared down wool coat has gorgeous silk lining and gold embroidery both at the front panels as well as the on the back and on the sleeves. It’s like a mix between an old military coat and a sailor jacket – only more dreamy. And Soft Gallery has managed to hold back, leaving this must have outwear completely understated with a unisex feel. Simply genius.

Simple and fun; The Viggo Sweatshirt with Monsieur French Fox print. I’m no big fan of prints – but the kindness in the eyes of this gentleman fox is simply irresistible.

Texture and warmth in dusty pink with a quirky print as a added bonus. I think this dress, with a more generous fit, for a younger girl, would look amazing. Wear with a beret hat and scarf in a contrast colour wrapped around the neck, black tights and black patent ballerinas.

One of my favourite trends for 2017 is the pairing of black and gold. The combination of soft, warm and glamorous gold with midnight black…

Dusty pink, whimsical print and … gold details. A unbeatable combination; the Signe sweatshirt could easily become her favourite this season.

The contrast between the blue and the shiny black logo just works. And it’s not often that there’s anything exciting for boys. The Siggi Sweatshirt is both cool and sophisticated at the same time. We like.

Not shown here but also worth mentioning is the baby collection compromising lovely knitted sets as well as adorable little pieces in hues of pastel with a touch of gold. Soft Gallery also offer babies and children’s outerwear, from cool bomber jackets to functional rain sets.

Soft Gallery recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary and with this latest collection the Danish brand has once more confirmed it’s position as one of the leading children’s fashion brands from Scandinavia.
