To celebrate their fifth anniversary the event ‘Cocktails in the City’ is gathering some of the leading bars from Scandinavia; Himkok, Linje Tio and Ruby to have them mix and share drinks with a Nordic flair with you.
The nation’s leading cocktail event in the capital is set to take place at the end of this month, with a three-day celebration of the cocktail, mixing together twenty-five leading bars in pop-up form under one roof in the fashionable venue, Marylebone One.
Thanks to Woodford Reserve, ‘Cocktails in the City’ have the pleasure to be featuring some of Scandinavia’s best bars to join the celebration of their 5th Anniversary edition; Himkok from Oslo, Ruby from Copenhagen and Linje Tio from Stockholm.
Himkok in Norway, rated as one of the worlds 50 best bars, is at the forefront of the craft spirit revolution. The bar is hidden away in Central Oslo, behind a rather anonymous fasade. But behind the low key entrance hides a 700sqm designed bar on two floors that employees 40 barmen and mixologists from all over the world. Not only are they pouring spirits but producing them too – hence the name Himkok that translates to ‘home-brew’.

A very welcome addition to Copenhagen’s bar scene is this glam cocktail bar, housed in a beautiful old apartment building. The unmarked door makes it hard to find but it’s well worth the effort. Ruby is rated as top 10 bars in Copenhagen – and top 50 in the world.

Linje Tio in Sweden is the 25th best cocktail bar in the world and without hesitation this is the place to go for expert mixes when in Stockholm. The bar is a hip and eclectic collective space that is also home to a traditional barber and very nice wine bar. It’s all about the craftsmanship.
