CIFF kids will be presenting the trends for AW16. And with only one week to go we have quickly made a round up of the coming Kid’s lifestyle trend, as we see it, with everything from home and interior to fashion.
We see a clear trend for the coming winter season for kids lifestyle; We want minimalism, but with a hint of nostalgia. We want quality and comfort. We want to surround ourselves with design and products that support our lifestyle choice, in slowing down. And there are a few main trends to navigate by;
MODERN SIMPLICITY, minimalism without compromise with sophisticated basics. The trend is even cleaner and more structured than seen in previous seasons. 1 + in the family focuses on comfortability of minimalist designs for babies. The brand will be presenting news for AW16 at CIFF kids.
And it’s ALL NATURAL materials, handmade with love and care. Danish brand Aperie blends the characteristics of Scandinavian design heritage with the global influence and with a sustainable production.
QUIET LIFE is a colour trend for AW16 with hues of natural, earthy tones. We also see a splash of aqua as well as deep purple, both for girls and boys. Cam Cam Copenhagen – home and lifestyle products in subtle shades of natural stones to create peaceful, restful and contemplative environment for children.
CONTEMPORARY FOLKLORE signals a bold, colourful, fun trend with lots of prints and graphics. Latvian brand Hebe is the perfect example on how to combine fantasy and folklore with a modern twist, with its gorgeous collection ‘Nordic Heritage’ for AW16.
Kids fashion will also take a turn to VINTAGE GLAM, with a vintage seventies or glam rock styles being revamped for today’s fashion. Christina Rohde’s collection for AW16 is a fine example of this fashion forward trend.
CIFF kids will be launching a dedicated trend area for kids lifestyle, curated by lifestyle guru, super mum of four young children and blogger Peggy from Paul et Paula. Not to be missed when visiting the trade show in Copenhagen from 3rd to 5th of February. Peggy has also done a little preview of the lifestyle trend area on her blog, here.
CIFF and CIFF kids is fully booked with exhibitors – we strongly recommend checking the exhibitor list and making a ‘must see’ short list to make sure you see who’s most important to you. Plan your CIFF kids visit here!
