Launching this September, Angel & Rocket is a brand new addition to the growing scene of British made kidswear. We’ve not only seen the collection, of exciting British prep style meets rock chic children’s clothing but also attended the photo shoot, that took place in London last July, invited to be behind the scenes to see the rise of a the new star…
Founder, Kate Bostock partnered with Philippa Cloete (Creative Director) to launch Angel & Rocket. Cloete comes with 15 years of experience fromn the world of fashion, working with leading high street brands such as Next, Marks & Spencer and Topshop. In addition she has two little girls herself. The vision for AW14 was to create a carefully edited collection, inspiring kids to mix and match and have fun finding their own Angel & Rocket style.
“I’ve always been passionate about design and being able to analyse the finer detail, which I’ve translated into the look and feel of Angel & Rocket. From our first collection you can expect a chalked colour palette, gorgeous soft yarns and hand-drawn graphics of animals such as a hare and beetle. It’s been a long time in the making, the team have worked around the clock over the last few months, and I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished to date.” Creative Director, Philippa Cloete.
The shoot took place at a cool little studio in Clapham on the 5th & 6th July, with little models playing and dancing in true little Angel & Rocket style. Photographer Dan Scudamore work in collaboration with a stylist and make-up artist, as well as the Angel & Rocket team for a fulfilled two day event. And we thought we’d share a few snaps with you!
The collection for Autumn Winter 2014 will be available for age 3 to 10 years, with an affordable price point; £18 for a girls printed legging – £55 for a boys parka coat.
The very first exclusive preview will take place on 17th September to anyone who registers on the website between now and then, with the officially launch scheduled to 18th September, to the UK and Europe, via angelandrocket.com
Good luck Kate with this next venture. Images from the shoot look fantastic!!
