I must admit it warms my heart to see well dressed children, well dressed as in appropriate for the season and occasion. And for Autumn there’s nothing like beautiful knitted garments, such as this gorgeous knitted girls dress in a nostalgic timeless design, spotted on Charlott Pettersen’s Blog. August is coming towards an end. It’s time to wrap up warm!

The one stop destinations for all things home knitted is mormor.nu. Among lots of wonderful woolliness going on they have this classic sweater in the popular faroe island style, the Palle sweeter, as shown here in the Slow living Magazine

Then there’s no post about children’s knitwear without mentioning our favourite brand, Gudrun & Gudrun. We spotted their gorgeous pre fall 2014 collection over at the Smudgetikka blog and not only is my hear beating a bit faster, but I’m desperate to get my hands on some of these ultra cozy and cool styles for my girls!

Danish brand Poppy Rose has a wonderful selection of soft knits for baby, as well as boys and girls up to age 10. The new collection for Autumn Winter is soon to arrive in stores, meanwhile here’s a preview…

Also, we are quite chuffed with the details and unusual colour combination in this fine knit cardigan by Pale Cloud for AW14. It’s in a cotton and wool mix with gold shimmering panels down the side and under the arms adding that extra bit of sparkle, as well as for everyday as for the coming party season, trimmed with elasticated pink knitted ribs and gold buttons. childrens_fine_knit_cardigan_pale_cloud_autumn_2014_winter_2015

  1. Isn’t it fantastic how quality never goes out of style, the dress you mentioned at the top found on Charlott’s site was a huge hit in Norway 35 years ago, it is not unlikely that both you and me had one of those as toddlers back home. 🙂 Love the Pale Cloud camel/pink colour combo, delicate still stunning.
