A new classic Christmas story, enchantingly illustrated with with extraordinary fairytale photographs that will have readers of all ages believing in the magic of Christmas. This is the book you’ll look forward to bring out for the holiday season, year after year.
Long ago, a brave little girl named Anja wanted to be one of Santa’s elves. So she leaves a note for her family and helps her elderly neighbour prepare for the holiday, then she straps on her skis, and heads out into the snowy landscape. From a red bird to a polar bear to a reindeer, a menagerie of winter animals help Anja make her way to Santa…
“The Christmas Wish” is a family collaboration with husband and wife team Lori Evert and Per Breiehagen together with their adorable daughter Anja.
Lori, who’s the author of the book, is a stylist, was originally inspired by the beauty and magic of an image of Anja with a reindeer. Her photographer husband Per, who grew up in the small mountain village of Ål, Norway surrounded by Norwegian fairytales and folk lore about elves, trolls and other creatures have inspired his narratives, instilling a sense of magic and mystery in his imagery. But what truly inspired him was seeing his daughter Anja’s love of the outdoors, winter and the snow.
The Christmas Wish is available from leading book and kids stores as well as on Amazon
