Copenhagen Fashion Week is more or less only a week away. This is the week when Copenhagen truly comes alive, when fashion, design, culture is all celebrated together in one week joint event. As a part of this event is the children’s trade show CIFF KIDS, launched back in 2004. With more than 300 exciting brands exhibiting from around the world this season, a mix of commercial brands and more independent up and coming labels, CIFF KIDS has established it selves as one of the largest children’s fashion trade shows in Europe. CIFF KIDS SS14 will take place from 8th to 11th of August 2013.
This season at CIFF KIDS will also see the launch of the the trend area “Urban”, a unique platform dedicated to tween/teen fashion wear. Of course a development we are especially interested in as we still believe there’s a gap in the market for children’s fashion age 8-14 years.
Of other interesting events and happening throughout the fair, we’d like to mention the talk by Louise Byg Kongsholm, Director at pej gruppen, an inspiring lecture about kids and consumption. Consumer behaviour in the children’s fashion market sounds like a speech not to be missed. WE’ve also been invited to a few shows; There’s the CIFF KIDS trend show as well as the Noa Noa Miniature Jubilee Show, Petit by Sofie Schnoor and the New Generals Show.
Brands worth checking out at the fair includes children’s footwear by Angulus, versatile and timeless design by Christina Rohde, eco-friendly high quality essentails by Esencia, denimwear by I Dig Denim, favourite prints by Marimekko, fashion forward styles by GRO and Soft Gallery, stripes on soft cotton by Ebbe and a a nautical style by Emma och Malena.
This year CIFF KIDS hosts Børn I Byen Awards 2013, a fashion award celebrating Danish fashion and design for children. The winners of the Børn I Byen Awards 2013 will be announced at CIFF KIDS Friday 9th of August.
