Leopold & Livia SS14 dancing by the lake one midsummer night

For the Spring Summer 2014 Leopold & Livia has been inspired by the world of Scandinavian folklore.

In Scandinavian folklore an elf is called älva in Swedish. The Swedish älvor were stunningly
beautiful girls who lived in the forest with an elven king. They were graceful and mysterious but at
the same time rather unpredictable and mischievous. The elves could be seen dancing over
meadows, particularly at night and on misty mornings. Often, they were invisible and you could
only hear their laughter and songs. In some tales they could transform into other creatures.

Leopold & Livia Spring Summer 2014 emphasis on clothing for the graceful and beautiful “älva” with a
touch of mystery and unpredictability.

  1. Storytelling is just more and more important to us. Just like it used to be in the olden days. 🙂
