The Albion origins from the times when Islington was fields and farmland and where the regulars would take afternoon walks out of the city to visit. Today it’s tucked away in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes walk from Angel tube station. This Georgian pub offers crackling fireplaces, friendly and welcoming staff and great food.
With awards like the Observer Food Monthly award for ‘Best Sunday Lunch 2009’, the Independent’s ‘Top 50 Sunday Lunch Venues’ and the Guardian’s ‘Best Pubs in the UK’ there’s no doubt you should book your table in advance. We met up with Ole-Martin from Hansen Lydersen, talked about food, London and life. Had some excellent food and a jolly good time.
