Marimekko is the leading Finnish textile and clothing design house which through its timeless and individual, practical and beautiful products. When Marimekko was founded in 1951, the unparalleled patterns and colours of its printed fabrics gave it a strong and unique identity that are still very evident today.
New this Spring is the collaboration between Marimekko and Converse. Marimekko and Converse have partnered for the first time to debut a women’s collection for spring 2011, sizes from european 35.5, combining Converse’s most popular silhouettes, such as Chuck Taylor All Star High and Ox, with Marimekko’s signature pattern designs. A selection of Marimekko’s classic prints by some of its most influential designers that embrace Marimekko’s bold, vibrant styles were chosen for the Converse collection.
Will fit any happy older child, tween and teenager. We’re only hoping this is such a success that they’ll consider doing children’s shoes too.
