Danish children’s fashion brand Gro Company launched their collection for Autumn Winter 2015 last week, with the collections arriving in stores as we speak. What we do love about this brand is not only the ethical aspect and the neutral colour palette. It’s also that Gro is one of few brands with a good selection of boyswear.
Designer Anette Nordrup was in the middle of a t-shirt production, when her mother-in-law found an old drawing, that Anetteās husband had made in a song-book as a 4-year-old. The drawing showed a crooked-legged matchstick-man with spiky hair. Anette fell for the happy face and made him the logo of her new company.
And years later, that little matchstick man is still part of the company, although the logo has changed (as you can see in the below catalog images) – we still like the matchstick man.
By founding the brand Anette wanted to celebrate the life of children, from newborn and up to their teens. Gro means to grow in Danish, from seed to sprout. Anette herself is a mum of three children; two boys and a little baby girl.
Children’s clothes from Gro Company are known for excellent quality, comfortable fit and a contemporary look. The materials are soft organic cotton, fine woven cord, velvet and cashmere.
Have a look below for a preview of what your little ones can wrap up in, for the colder months ahead.
“There is still a little girl inside of me, and I desired to make a line for all the wonderful girls in the world. It was important for me that there were no expectation and no rules – just creativity.”
Anette Nordrup, Head of Design and Founder of Gro Company
Oh, and don’t you too just love the boots the girls are wearing in these catalogue images!? Looks like super soft leather in oh so stylish design. Me want. For my girls – and in my size pretty please!
