Every year in May, Danish Women in England and The Danish Church in London invite you to their Bazaar, a festive day and to buy art and craft, design, food and books. In the church garden there are children’s activities and food stalls selling danish specialities. Please note a very interesting design auction taking place too!
This year the grand event takes place this Saturday 21st of May from 11am to 5pm.
The Danish Summer Bazaar is a great opportunity to sample some delicious Danish foods, from the ever so popular red hot dogs served in bread with lots of relish and sauces to their sublime open sandwiches and drinks.
There will be children’s entertainment too, from bouncy castle to face painting.
Not to be missed is also an exciting auction, including some fantastic Scandinavian design classics. The Rocking Horse by Kay Bojesen as you can see in the lead image of this post is up for auction, as well as a pair of Arne Jacobsen Grand Prix chairs… To retrieve the full auction list and to place your bid send an email to elinstone@sky.com before 10pm tonight or you can bid on the day in the auction at 3pm tomorrow.
A pair of the famous Arne Jacobsen Grand Prix Chairs are up for grabs in the auction.
There will also be danish interior design for sale, such as beautiful accessories from Jette Frölich.
The Danish Summer Bazar is open this Saturday, 21st May from 11am to 5pm. Admission is £2 per person. The Danish Church St Katharine’s is located in leafy Regent’s Park, near Camden Town. Find out more on the Danish Church in London’s website.
