SP34 – a quirky boutique hotel and the place to stay in Copenhagen

Brilliantly quirky boutique hotel SP34 is the place to stay when visiting trendy Copenhagen. Originally a town house, the hotel is featuring a friendly atmosphere in super cool surroundings. Tucked away in the bohemian and buzzy Latin Quarter and situated just moments away of the capital’s main shopping streets and attractions.

SP34 opened in April 2014 after extensive renovations. The name SP34 is an abbreviation of the hotel’s address, Sankt Peders Stræde 34, and the hotel is three former town houses merged into one.

You check in at the reception, which also happens to be the hotel’s trendy bar. The 118 rooms, suites and one penthouse flat with balcony are all kept in a muted, minimalistic Scandinavian style. Expect quality and comfort, from lovely snug beds to REN bathroom amenities.

Guests can enjoy views of the city from the hotels sun terrace, there’s bicycle hire making it easy to blend in with the locals. The hotel also has a private cinema.

Breakfast is hearty and organic. And after a long day out and about guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine before dinner. And you don’t have to head out if you don’t feel like it! There’s the in house American diner restaurant Cock’s and Cows that serves yummy burgers, while Bar Moritz (named after a Spanish microbrewery) offers various sized tapas dishes and a selection of Spanish wines and beers. We also recommend relaxing the the small outdoor terrace on the 1st floor, or next door at the hip drinking den, Din Nye Ven (directly translated ‘Your New Friend’).
