CIFF kids has proudly announced a strong line up of Scandinavian brands for the coming kids trade show, taking place in Copenhagen from 3rd to 5th of February 2016. With strong roots in Scandinavian design and culture, CIFF KIDS houses a wide variety of the top Nordic children’s brands.

Only weeks away, we have taken a closer look at the coming fair. And there are some very good reasons why buyers should not miss this event!

New and sassy ‘The Fifth Child’ offers something quite new to the kids apparel segment. This is the children’s line of the Danish brand ‘First Aid to the Injured’. The adult brand was founded in 2012 by a small group of passionate people from the clothing industry that found a gap in the segment of dark clothing. Driven by passion for the colour black and a graphic style in soft high quality fabrics, the brand decided to launch a kids line of strong and edgy basic wear designs in relaxed fabrics. The result is cool, unisex everyday wear for the modern child.

The Fifth Child launched its first collection for SS16 and we are looking forwarding to see the AW16 as they promise to effortlessly offer new life to already existing wardrobes – adding just an extra touch of comfortable and relaxed coolness.

Moving on, coming from Denmark, Sweden and Norway, some of our favourite brands will be exhibiting at the coming show. We can’t wait to see what Danish designer Christina Rohde has in store for us. The designer recently re-vamped the brand, from offering traditional classic childrenswear to introduce more fashion forward pieces in her collection. Popular Mini Rodini is still on a roll with their fun prints on organic cotton. Someday Soon was an instant success with its focus on cool urban street wear for boys. I Dig Denim is constantly developing the range to include far more than comfortable and good quality jeans.

And, some of our favourite designers will be exhibiting at CIFF kids! We love the whole collection from Poppy Rose and MarMar Copenhagen, we recommend you look out for the new art collaboration and exiting prints and embroidery from Soft Gallery, don’t miss the new gorgeous dresses from How To Kiss A Frog and check out the great selection of high quality outerwear from brands such as established Ver de Terre and brand new SWAYS.

Also, we are so pleased to see that a more sustainable fashion industry is still on the agenda and when visiting CIFF kids you will quickly tell that organic kidswear is here to stay. Brands with a strong focus on being kind to the environment includes Serendipity Organics, Esencia, Mini Rodini, Gro Company, Lilli and Leopold. The range of organic nightwear from SNORK Copenhagen is a must check out when at CIFF kids.

The latest of children’s footwear, shoes and boots will be presented for AW16 at CIFF kids and brands include Petit Nord, En Fant, Kavat, Pom Pom, Move by Melton and Angulus. In fact there’s quite a impressive selection of shoe brands that we think will attract buyers from all over the world; Naturino, Pom D’Api, Michael Kors Shoes and Dr.Martens to name a few.

The children’s clothing brand By Clara is perhaps most known for their stylish moccasins and you can see all their news at CIFF kids this February.

We also look forward to discover kids interior trends and new to us is That’s Mine, a Danish brand that launched August 2015 with a range of beautiful, handmade interior accessories, from pegs and shelves to tipis and wardrobes. The kids interior section of the fair seems to be growing!
