Abercrombie & Fitch hosted an event to launch the Abercrombie Kids Savile Row store in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Children’s Charity. We were invited and wouldn’t miss the opportunity to see one of Little A’s favourite brands as well as support the brilliant work of the London based Great Ormond Street, a dedicated children’s hospital.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a children’s hospital located in the Bloomsbury area of London. The Hospital Children’s Charity needs to raise over £50 million every year to be able to provide the world-class care they’ve become renown for. In honour of the evening, Abercrombie & Fitch made a donation of £25,000 that will be given to the charity to help rebuild and refurbish the hospital, provide vital up-to-date equipment and fund research into better treatments for children across the UK.
Abercrombie kids, a division of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. opened their first flagship store in the UK, back in August 2014. Built in 1733, 3 Savile Row is famous for being the home to the Beatles’ Apple Records headquarters and is also where they recorded most of their album, Let It Be. The store showcases three levels of clothing and accessories for boys and girls and is a must visit destination for some retail therapy when in London.
Little A has been passing the store, very excited that Abercrombie finally will be available in her size. So she was absolutely delighted to be invited to their launch, including fun party food such as mini pizzas, mini hot dogs, mini anything! She designed her A&F tee, with the moose on a Northern Lights background! There was also a photo boot whit the opportunity to be a rock star for the day. She was given the photo to take home from the memorable event. Then on our way down she dipped into the candy bar. Let’s just say, there was more Saturday Sweets than what she have had in a very long time… 😉
Jodie Kidd, Andy Serkis and Angela Griffin were amongst the VIP guests who attended with their children to support the event. We also ran into fellow bloggers as well as fellow Norwegians.
