Festive Christmas fun and events from the Land of North

Lot’s of festive fun ahead; Christmas pop-up events, there’s Christmas drinks and dinners, we’ll be doing a White Christmas shoot this weekend, the Little Scandinavian Advent Calendar is taking shape, we are working on lots of posts covering all you’ll need to know to create your very own, White Christmas. As part of sourcing inspiration I’ll be going to the mountain of North.

Norefjell, situated one hour outside Oslo, offers Winter Wonderland with great skiing, SPA and gorgeous food. We’ll be heading there next weekend and hopefully the ski lifts will be open. It’s snowing now, so fingers crossed.

With return tickets at £60 and only a couple of hours on the plane, Norway is worth checking out for a get away this Winter.

Other, more fashionable Nordic news is the launch of the Moods of Norway children’s collection. This preview show a selection which would be perfect for Christmas morning!

And speaking about Christmas, isn’t it time to start the planning and preparations? You still have a couple of weeks left for sorting out the children’s Advent Calendars. And when you are busy thinking of everyone else, we are preparing a special treat, just for you! The Little Scandinavian Advent Calendar, filled with wonderful design goodies and delights, will be launched just in time for 1st December.

And so it happens, that Georg Jensen’s Pop Up Boutique in Westfield London launches this Saturday, 15th November at 4pm. I’ll be going, to enjoy some bubbly, listen to music and meet fellow admirers of Scandinavia design. See you there too?
