Ingela P Arrhenius is a Swedish based illustrator, with a naive style inspired by the design of the 50’s and 60’s. She has in the past collaborated with several Scandinavian design companies and this time around, for ferm LIVING, she’s been illustrating some whimsical animal print cushions and blankets, cloud and kite wallpaper and even the cutest kite hanging mobile.
ferm LIVING draws on Scandinavian design traditions and retro charm, but with a distinctive graphic edge that makes every item firmly contemporary. ferm LIVING is based in Denmark, where Trine Andersen founded a graphic design studio in 2005. The decision to start her own business sprang from a personal vision of a bird on a branch, ready to take off. That bird remains a part of the ferm LIVING logo today.
The quality of these products is superb and the design timeless. There is also emphasis on leading the way in new technologu, like with the WallSmart wallpaper, a new generation of non-woven wallpaper that is easier and faster to hang. Really straight forward; Apply the ready-mixed wallpaper paste to the wall and than hang the sections by butting the edges tightly together. Easy as that, to freshen up the nursery in an instant.
