Algy Craig Hall will be signing copies of his new picture book Mammoth and Me, about the adventures of a Big Blue Mammoth and a little boy, at Children’s Store KIDSEN.
Mammoth and Me tells the story of a young child and a truly special friend. When a big blue mammoth knocks on the door of one small boy, a BIG adventure begins. But a mammoth is just too big for the home, the park and the town! A heart warming and gentle tale of learning to be friends no matter what differences there may be.
Algy Craig Hall was born in London and grew up with an elder sister and quadruplet younger brothers and sisters. His sizable family provided the inspiration for his first picture book, Fine as We Are, published by Boxer Books in 2007 and shortlisted for the Read It Again! children’s book prize and the Norfolk Picture Book Award. He followed this with The Scariest Monster in the World, also published by Boxer Books and shortlisted to the final six titles in the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2010.
Algy Craig lives in Kensal Green, NW London, with his partner and two children. And we think it’s just wonderful of the UK’s first Scandinavian children’s store to support their local community and we are hoping to be able to pop in on the day, Saturday 16th June 11.30 to 3.30. If you are around we suggest you do to!
