“Mummy, I would like to climb Mount Everest!”

So, this morning, I was woken up by Little A whispering into my ear “Mummy, I would like to climb Mount Everest!” And with a smile she continued “I dreamed last night that I just ran all the way to the top and it didn’t take me 2 days. I did it all in one go!” Still half awake, “Is this something you’ve learned about in school?” I mumbled. “No, mummy. I want to climb the highest mountain!” she responded with excitement.

I wish I woke up and felt the same way. All I can think of in the morning is coffee, school uniforms and packed lunch. Wonder where, along the way, did the urge to climb the tallest mountain disappear?
