Madsen Restaurant -a hidden gem in South Kensington

We’ve been to Madsen for lunch previously. And it’s always such a treat to visit this Scandinavian oasis and contemporary eatery in the heart of South Kensington, London.

This time we met up with lovely Gabrielle from Scandinavian Minimall. We talked about Spring in London, Scandinavian children’s wear and how incredible lovely food and service it is at Madsen -a true hidden gem. As Gabrielle said; You actually have to experience it to understand what a wonderful place this is. Not sure you’d realise what great restaurant this is by only walking past. This might be the case, as it does have a humble entrance. But typically Scandinavian though, being unpretentious but still with a highest level of quality.
I had a set lunch menu including 2 courses; Gravlax served with beetroot and fennel salad on toasted sourdough bread for main and Swedish Kladdkaka a sticky chocolate cake with lingonberry ice cream for dessert, all for £13.95 excluding my naughty glass of chilled white wine… Looking forward to my next visit!
