The Danish Church in London is busy getting ready for the Summer Bazaar 2011. Visit St Katharine’s on Friday 20 or Saturday 21 May and spend a cheerful afternoon with other Danes and friends of Denmark. In the many market stalls you’ll find Danish design, needlework, arts and crafts, antiques, books as well as stalls selling traditional, Danish food.
There will also be a pop up cafe in the garden where you can try one of Denmark famous red hot dogs or indulge in one of the many kinds of the Scandinavian style open sandwich, smørrebrød.
While you enjoy a stroll around in the bazaar the children can have a go at the bouncy castle, bake twistbread, play fish pond or face painting.
Entrance: £1, children under 14 years is free.
