Spring is in the air and its increadable how quickly all the trees are blossoming. Regents Park is a fantastic place this time of the year and perhaps it’s more tempting now as the temperatures are warmer to take the family for a fun day out.
I passed the Boathouse Cafe last week and it looked like the perfect place to visit on a sunny day. It’s located next to the Boating Lake near Hanover Gate (map), with a large waterside terrace seating area. On the menu you’ll find pizza and pasta alongside snacks, drinks and ice creams. (And apparently delicious coffee regarding coffee lovers I know.)
The lake offers rowing boats, adult pedalos and a separate children’s lake with children’s pedalos.
Boat hire prices are:
Adults: £6.50 for 1 hour and £4.85 for 30 minutes.
Children: £4.40 for 1 hour and £3.35 for 30 minutes.
Family: £20 (2 adults and up to 3 children) for 1 hour.
The Boathouse Cafe in Regent’s Park is open from 10:00 am – 5:00pm and the boat hire is open from 10:30am – 4:30pm.
Don’t forget your sunhats -and ship ahoy!
I’m so looking forward to taking the girls. It would quite be so much fun on my own. 😉
Only hope not the Scandinavian Dad will try to race us and that we’ll end up swimming in the duck pond. 😆
Looks like such a fun and wonderful place to be. One day we’ll make a journey to the UK, hope we are able to visit this place too! Gorgeous…
