Little Explorer

visiting Natural History Museum in London last Friday

Our very own Little Scandinavian with her explorer backpack (for under 7 and free of charge), enjoying the Mammals gallery.

The Museum offers a range of fun and engaging activities designed to appeal to and include all members of the family.
With gallery trails, puppet shows, specimen handling and art activities, there is something for visitors of all ages and interests.

Well worth a visit -many times!

  1. Thanks!
We have to visit the Toy Museum and Madame Tussaud. And Hamleys off course!
    And a pub meal is a must, even though I’m a vegetarian ; )

  2. Oh, and Nina -I think your little one would love to visit the Butterfly World at Natural History Museum!

  3. Nina, first of all get a visitors Oyster card! 🙂
With a few days in London with kids there are a few things you want your child to see like Big Ben etc. I recommend a boat trip on the Thames as it’s less walking and more enjoyable for the kids (and you!).
I would also have considered visiting a museum (Tate Modern (must end the visit at the top restaurant with a hot chocolate!), Museum of Childhood or the little and cool Toy Museum (next to Goodge Street), have dinner at a nice restaurant like Brindisa Tapas Bar by London Bridge, go ice skating in the evening (it’s magical!), visit Hamleys in Regent Street if the kids are into shopping.
If you want to to a bargain for kids clothes you could visit Junior Styles pop up shop the 17/11 in Belsize Park.
If you really want to get that London vibe visit Shoreditch and Brick Lane, my girls loves the variety, the smell and the music. If you go there you might want to try out the newly renovated pub The Owl and Pussycat. Everyone who visits London should have had at least one decent pub meal before they leave!
Make sure you try out public transport like the London bus and the black cab. You can take the kids to Madame Tussaud and what they’ll talk about later was the bus journey back to the hotel!

    Hope you’ll enjoy London!

  4. Söt =)

Ska till London med familjen snart, vad får vi inte missa? Har ju varit där massa gånger tidigare men då utan barn ; )
