Rainy Friday

The day started rather bright with two friends over for morning coffee after school drop off. Then had to rush off to join Beatrice’s class on a school trip, to the Unicorn Theatre near London Bridge. We had the pleasure of listening to the author Elizabeth Laird reading from her children’s books. The fairy tales was from Iran, and she later told us that this wasn’t really her stories, she had only collected them whilst visiting Iran, then later narrating them when she returned to Britain. A bit like the Scandinavian guys, Asbjørnsen and Moe. They also collected stories by traveling around Norway and talking to people, then by publishing them in a book they have saved and important part of our culture and history for future generations.
Read Elizabeth’s blog here.
Anyway, except for this fantastic trip to the country side in Iran the day has been rather miserable. Especially the weather. Fingers crossed that it’s not going to be like this the whole weekend! But if that’s the case let me remind you of our tips to what to do on a rainy day, here.
So far we’ve made dinner with the help from two little cooks and now it’s time for cinema…

Wish all of you a wonderful evening!
