Highlight of Pitti Bimbo 84 – Scandinavian Brands to watch!


Pitti Bimbo is about to open its 84th edition of perhaps one of the worlds most important children’s trade shows. We thought it would only be appropriate to give you a small flavour of the coming event, with highlights of Scandinavian brands – who will exhibit in Florence, Italy from 19 to 21 January 2017.

Below is a short introduction to some of the Scandinavian brands we’ve spotted among all the exhibitors in Pitti Bimbo this season. Please note that the photographs we show you here is merely to give you an idea of what the brands are all about – and they are not from their coming AW17 collections.

So, without further ado, let’s start with…

Denmark

Little Remix creates cool, understated luxury styles for girls age 6 to 16 years with collections based on the styles from the women’s collection. It’s the look and feel which really set this fashion forward brand apart from the rest; truly unique fabrics, soft yarns and the finest quality of leather. The colour palette is muted, typical of designs from Scandinavia.

Minimalisma is a timeless brand with a Nordic heritage. Since 2011, minimalisma has crafted high-comfort garments from premium natural materials for little ones aged up to 6 years. Design Letters & Friends is a Danish design company founded by former copy writer and journalist Mette Thomsen in 2009. The brand has since been known for home accessories featuring a series of monochrome letters as well as Arne Jacobsen’s hand-drawn typography from 1937. Included in the collection is Living, Stationery, Furniture and Kids.

Hust & Claire is part of the Claire Group, a Scandinavian fashion house established in 1975. The brand is focusing on quality, trend and wearability, catering for children from newborn and all the way up to age 12 years.

Luckyboysunday was founded in Copenhagen in 2007 and has since then become known for a series of quirky little soft friends in soft alpaca wool. The brand represents modern luxury knitted art toys and soft furnishings for the home.

Molo was founded in 2003 and caters today for children, from newborn and all the way up to 16 years. Their signature style is all over fun prints and bold colours, preferably in a playful combination. There’s also worth having a look at the separate outerwear line which includes skiwear.

Someday Soon a cool and contemporary street fashion brand dedicated to boys age 2 – 14 years. The collection is featuring striking prints and comfortable and fashion-forward pieces for everyday wear.

Norway
Mole (as seen in the lead image) is a Norwegian fairytale of a children’s brand, drawing inspiration in heritage patterns for the ultimate Nordic look, with a contemporary touch. The styles are crafted in premium merino wool and the brand cater for children up to 12 years.

Finland
